Have you ever looked in the mirror and wished you could reinvent yourself?

If you have, you are not alone!

Working from home is here to stay, digitalization, automation, and robotics are only just beginning to disrupt us in ways we are yet to imagine.

How are we going to cope?

I am reminded of super-successful Andrew, living in a loft-style apartment in Soho, New York. A published author, teaching at an Ivy League University by day and working with well-known musicians at night.

To your average person in the rat race, this sounds like an enviable dream life. But Andrew was miserable. He was literally “killing himself,” over-worked, and over-scheduled with little to no satisfaction from his work, or his success. Under constant pressure to deliver the next article for an academic journal and the next best-selling book, Andrew cringed at the sound of his own voice, because he felt like he would never be as good as he wanted to be.

Perhaps the worst symptom of malcontent was the slow, insidious death of Andrew’s relationship. No one event caused the fracture. More a victim of neglect. Andrew just wasn’t feeling it anymore.

One day, Andrew decided to reinvent himself. Have you ever felt that same desire, deep in your soul for change?

You need to know that you have a choice in the matter of your career, business, or relationships. No one is going to force you to take a risk you do not want to take. You have to make that choice yourself. Sitting in the same place and continuing something that doesn’t make you happy is a choice too.

Sadly, too many people choose to stay put, stay unhappy, and unhealthy. Perhaps trapped in “golden handcuffs, ” and feeling that it is too late to “run away and join the circus.” Most people wait for a crisis to make the move.

Well, I have news for you! We are in a global crisis. If not now, when?

There has never been a better time to reinvent, renew, and revolutionize your life, career, or business!

Millions of people are now unchained from their offices. New, and fast-growing companies are starving for talent. New industries, companies, and vast opportunities are being born out of the disruption we are all living through.

Is it time to make a move?

Our personal and professional lives have collided in ways we could not imagine. Working from home with our families, and back-to-back zoom meetings! Consider this a call to action!

What Andrew did was shift gears. After years of living a life defined by being the alternative, he reinvented himself in the opposite direction. Without a well-thought-out plan that has most people in analysis-paralysis, Andrew jumped. With an open mind, open ears, and open eyes, every move was seen as an experiment, a process of discovery.

After many twists and turns that added new dimensions to Andrew’s life, he is now a founding partner in his own firm and lives in New York with his new wife and two sons.
