WELCOME TO ANJOU’S HOMEPAGE

We are honored to share the life and story of Anjou Bajwa MacPherson.

Co-founder of the Goldzone Group and Renaissance for Leaders, Anjou was an incredible force of nature, turning heads, helping and inspiring people wherever she went.

Anjou – left terra firma in peace at 6:37am April 20, 2012 – Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in the loving arms of myself, her mother, father, and brother.

Anjou was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and lived 7 years on a remarkable, spellbinding and magical journey.

Like Charles Dickens in The Tale of Two Cities… “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

While undergoing cycles of treatment and healing, Anjou continued to work – doing some of her best performance ever. She circled the world (many times) in style checking off her “must do list” and consulting with doctors while receiving the best treatment available in Paris, Barcelona, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Los Angeles and Vancouver.

Combining the best of standard and alternative treatments, eastern and western, Anjou believed in holistic wellness and healing, focused on the whole person; spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical.

Anjou believed in partnership and her health and wellness journey were no different than other areas of life. She partnered with me, her doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and wellness practitioners to make conscious decisions that would lead to better outcomes.

A diagnosis of cancer is always a shock, some people give up, or get angry and fight cancer, along with the doctors and everyone who tried to help them. Knowing that flooding her body with fight and flight hormones wouldn’t help her body to heal itself, Anjou embraced her diagnosis and focused on creating the ideal conditions within herself and in her external environment to heal and return to wellness.

She remained positive, optimistic and her cheerfulness inspired people everywhere. She was a model patient and every doctor’s favorite. Despite it all, Anjou refused to be a victim and remained at cause until the very end. She truly was the most incredible person I have ever met. An incredible daughter, sister, wife, partner, teacher and the best friend you could ever have.

On April 2nd she took her last flight home to Vancouver to spend her remaining days with family. She was peaceful, comfortable, without pain and looked out the window across the bay to a huge range of snow-capped mountains.

It goes without saying I am heartbroken, and yet my heart is full of appreciation, love, and joy for having the opportunity to know Anjou MacPherson and share part of the journey with her.

I believe the spirit and soul are eternal and Anjou lives on in spirit and in our hearts.

XOXO

“You will lose everything. Your money, your power, your fame, your success, perhaps even your memories. Your looks will go. Loved ones will die. Your body will fall apart. Everything that seems permanent is impermanent…waking up means facing this reality with open eyes and no longer turning away.

But right now, we stand on sacred and holy ground, for that which will be lost has not yet been lost, and realising this is the key to unspeakable joy.

Whoever or whatever is in your life right now has not yet been taken away from you. This may sound trivial, obvious, like nothing, but really it is the key to everything, the why and how and wherefore of existence.

Impermanence has already rendered everything and everyone around you so deeply holy and significant and worthy of your heartbreaking gratitude.

Loss has already transfigured your life into an altar.”
